holy shee?t !! i am loving the craziness (cymbal / tom down stroke 'flams'?) starting at 1:35. sounds like he does a nice "ritard" with polyrythms...back into regular (geeeze) subdivisions, completely NAILING the kicks back to "1". SICK. dam does he have fast hands for such high strokes.

ladanny, sounds like he's using eigth-note triplets on his hihat so the quarter-note triplet would become his pulse. then he seems to modulate back to the original pulse for the rest of his solo.

I have seen Virg pull off those cymbal/floor tom flam combo's? a few times and it is amazing to watch. So of course I try it and try it and so on and NO WAY! in heck.The power, speed, endurance and more importantly the control needed is ridiculous, I felt like I was going to hurt myself or someone else trying to pull it off [img]eek.gif[/img] and doing it while your feet are blazing away COME ON! The man's dexterity and level of control is beyond absurd.
Good one Blake, I think Virg would go crazy having his arm broke, oh well I think he could still be pretty good with 2 feet and 1 arm [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
